Friendship Day Thoughts

Friendship Day is the best day to let your friends know how much you need and love them. The best way to celebrate this day is to spend quality time with them.

In these busy days, relations are often forgotten and with the everyday hustle we make easy friends like colleagues who are easily accessible and tend to forget the long term  relations. These special days give us an opportunity and act as a reminder for us to take our time out and spend with the people who make us happy and be with those where we can be ourselves.  It is a real stress buster and a much-needed mental vacation where we can recollect old memories, pause responsibilities, be our crazier selves, ignite our humor sense and comeout of the day with strengthened relationships, and a mental massage.

For celebrations we all like less planning and more action so here are some of my ways which can ease up your planning.

For people who miss or cant meet remind you miss them by sending cute surprises like greeting cards, e cards, flowers or chocolates

Walkthrough the memory lane - Gather all the old memories between your friends like photos of a tour, First meetups, important milestones and try to get the physical copies and decorate it throughout the house/party area. Take some photos by recreating the old ones which you want to keep as a memory. In your playlist identify the trending songs of your time in various languages, genre and keep the findings as rare as possible.

Create a themed party it can be on costumes/classroom theme etc. to bring back the nostalgia and try to invite a favorite outsider to the group (favorite senior/junior, Hostelmate, common friends etc.). Enjoy a sport/game which you used to often play during your days. Also if possible plan a Karaoke,  build a fort, go for a movie marathon

Have a good talk with all your friends, share your hardships, well being, milestones and achievements in your life to maintain the connection.

Create a sense of strength that can be exhibited as a group in your peers and enjoy the day so that you fondly remember it till the next meetup
